We set a digital forest ablaze to engage a gaming community in preserving the real ones.

The Jungle is a crucial area in League of Legends because of its strategic location for players to farm essential resources for advancing and winning the game. Like in real life, the Jungle is as vital for the players as the real forests, which provide a wide range of benefits for everyone.

In response to the devastating fires increase  in Brazil, Mastercard leveraged its sponsorship of League of Legends to raise its young community awareness and inspire action towards the restoration of the world's endangered forests as part of the brand's global commitment to plant 100 million trees by 2025.

So, on Amazon Day, Influencers, streamers, and pro players were challenged to play a special League of Legends show match in a scenario that had never been seen in the game before.

Suddenly, during the battle, they were surprised to face a challenge from the real world on the traditional LoL map: fires started to appear and block their access to the Jungle and its essential resources, shocking the players, making them struggle and capturing the attention of the audience provoking reflection on what is happening to the environment around us.

For the first time, fans from around the world watched the iconic jungle on fire while players were challenged to think of new strategies to advance in the match.
